Making Waves is a high-level speakers event at the Dutch iconic Afsluitdijk. The event is initiated by the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment together with the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs.
Together with the partners they compose an inspiring program covering a broad scale of ideas on social issues. Making Waves provides a podium for showcasing the most intriguing examples of this Dutch ingenuity at the Making Waves speaker event.
The aim of Making Waves is to support in bringing innovative ideas past the ‘promising stage’ and reach the attention of organizations, policy and decision makers, and investors.
Making Waves is part of a larger aim
Making Waves coalesces with the biennial ‘Ideas from Europe’. The Making Waves event will serve as the grand finale in the selection process for the innovation that will represent the Netherlands at the European level.
Beyond a stand-alone event, Making Waves is part of a chain of events and activities serving a greater purpose.
